The two buildings front Jamboree Road and act as the first phase and public face of the Uptown Newport Planned Community. Borrowing from the language of beach homes, the architecture is contemporary in nature, using classic “beachside” building materials of painted shingle siding, sand-colored stone, and warm wood accents in a clean and modern fashion. The buildings have iconic corner elements that mark the main entries into the community, and step down in mass where they meet at the center Pedestrian Paseo. This allows for large pool decks that open eastward toward the San Joaquin Marsh, the hills of Turtle Ridge, and provides views of Saddleback Mountains. A pedestrian bridge connects the two pool decks allowing for connection of each sides’ amenity spaces. A retail component is located at the main community entry at Jamboree along Uptown Newport Drive, as well as the leasing offices of both buildings, working to create a connection to the active public environment. Ground-level residential units fronting Uptown Newport Drive have a direct connection to the public sidewalk via patios and stoops, further accentuating the pedestrian nature of the community.
